Watch The Movie Hot Tub Time Machine

By Rose Good

You should always be pretty well aware of the major releases coming to DVD. Comedy movies are no exception, and it seems that, as of late, there have been several different comedy movies that have made an impact. One of these movies would most certainly be "Hot Tub Time Machine" for many different reasons.

By reading through this particular article, you are committing to learn a little more about this film through a few different methods. More than anything though, you are going to get a breakdown of the plot and learn a little more about the sequence of events that made this film so epic in its own right. You will also get a brief introduction to some of the top names in this film and who they play.

This film opens up on what life is like right now for a group of middle aged men. Life has passed them by for the most part, and what is left of it does not seem to be shaping up that well for them. It chronicles the failing relationships of three of what are the main characters of the film: Adam (John Cusack), Nick (Craig Robinson), and Lou (Rob Corddry).

After another night of hard drinking, Lou decides that life for him is over and attempts to end his. He leaves his car running, drinking heavily and rocking out to Motley Crue sitting in the driver's seat of the car parked in the closed garage. Nick and Adam meet up at the hospital after Lou was found, and returned to health. They realize that their friendship has been compromised and to get it back, they are taking a trip to Kodiak Valley Ski Resort, where they have very fond memories.

While they are there, they realize that things just simply are not what they used to be at all. They decide to take a dip in the hot tub, and next thing they know they are in a strangely familiar environment. It does not take them long to learn that they have traveled back to the eighties. Not only this, but they look like they did when they were in the eighties to everyone else.

They determine through the help of a creepy repairman (Chevy Chase) that they are going to have to be careful about what they do in the eighties again. Changes could dramatically alter the course of history, and they don't want to do that. Adam is going to have to break up with the girl he has forever since considered to have been "the one", Lou is going to have to get beaten up by some pompous ski patrol guy, and Nick is going to have to cheat on his wife with a groupie for his band, though he is not married in 1986.

Winterfest '86 takes its toll on the characters, though, and they decide that maybe they can change things this time around. Through a little bit of dumb luck and chance, the group finds out a lot more about their lives, what could have been, and what they didn't even realize.

If you are someone that can appreciate 80s references and humor, than this film is certainly for you. If you are someone that just likes good jokes and crude humor, than this movie is for you as well. You should certainly check out the DVD "Hot Tub Time Machine" if you haven't already.
